Overview:

We are seeking a full-time

Business Intelligence (BI) Developer 2

in our Yarmouth, ME location. This role will serve as a leader in Business Intelligence for a subscriptions product, conducting business and dataflow analysis to implement Business Intelligence solutions and acting as the recognized subject matter expert for subscriptions data. You must currently reside in Maine to be considered for this role.
Responsibilities:

Essential Functions

Works with users to understand and document business objectives to satisfy report and data warehouse design requirements. Provides project oversight and effectively communicates requirements, dependencies, and timeline to cross-functional team members and management across various groups in IT. Evaluates business processes, anticipating and gathering requirements, uncovering areas for improvements to transform into user stories. Implements solutions for Business Intelligence processes related to data sources that are consistent with the strategic vision, gathering the buy-in and resources needed to execute on it. Ensures requirements align with industry best practices for data warehouse and data modeling. Designs, develops, and tests reports using BI and reporting tools and functions as system administrator for BI tools. Works alongside BI team members to use SQL, PL/SQL, and data warehouse toolkits to develop ETL. Interacts with other teams to understand the source data and uses SQL to evaluate additional data sources needed. Prioritizes initiatives based on business priorities and serves as a liaison between IT and BI Stakeholders. Demonstrates robust BI visualization expertise, including creating visualizations, dashboards, and complex analytics. Applies Data Science concepts and principles to complex data analytics requirements. Performs technical root cause analysis and outlines corrective action for given problems. Serves as a mentor to less experienced Developers.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or related field

AND

a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

OR

an equivalent combination of education and experience Demonstrated experience in successful implementation of enterprise scale Business Intelligence solutions and general understanding of data science principles Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to drive projects to an effective and timely completion Experience with Qlik Sense, Tableau, MicroStrategy or similar Business Intelligence tools Experience with SQL in Business Intelligence reporting Familiarity with ETL processes and best practices with data warehousing Extremely detail-oriented Strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Desired Qualifications

Expertise using Qlik Experience with blog reporting, email reporting and creating ad-hoc reports
