The Space Security Division within Lockheed Martin Space\'s Mission Solutions business area is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Systems Engineer-IT with a strong System Admin Skillset to become a member of an Agile team focused on IT Infrastructure (Systems Administration, Networking, & Hardware) on the Arches program. The Arches program is a fast-paced development effort to contribute to the success of a very challenging and rewarding mission.

Agile responsibilities include participation in daily scrums, sprint/release planning, demos, and retrospectives. The successful candidate will have a commendable work ethic, good communication skills, a great attitude, be a results oriented team player, creative thinker and problem-solver, and follow all ethical standards of the Lockheed Martin Corporation.

Successful Applicants will:

  • Typically possess 9 years of professional experience having received a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college/university in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education in lieu of degree
  • Be willing to provide consent / submit for a Polygraph Examination associated with required security clearance listed in the Basic Qualifications.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with Linux Server/Desktop in relation to Licensing, Maintenance, Active Directory Integration, Linux STIG hardening, and Software Installation
  • Experience with Ansible Scripting
  • Experience with Windows System Administration with an emphasis on Active Directory
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows Server/Desktop
  • Experience working within an Agile scrum environment
Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Applicants must possess at minimum a Current DOD Top Secret security clearance with SCI Eligibility (adjudicated OR the ability to obtain SCI access) for consideration.
  • ***Per the required clearance level, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen***
  • ***Selected candidates will be required to possess Active Top Secret with adjudicated SCI Eligibility (TS/SCI) prior to starting employment.***
Desired Skills:
  • Technical understanding of broad spectrum of IT technologies (servers, containers, storage, network, cloud)
  • Experience with managing Jira/Confluence
  • Experience with Software and OS licensing
  • Experience with Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019 Windows 10, CentOS. RHEL 7, RHEL 8
  • Experience with patching, backups, and monitoring
  • Experience with SQL Server administration and deployment

  • Proficiency with managing and using Jira for Agile work tracking

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate\'s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
