The SSD Technician is responsible for the installation, adjustment and maintenance of all types of detention related equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Apply knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation
Provide skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas
Services CCTV, access control security systems, H.I.D. systems, intercom and paging systems
Completes maintenance, within assigned hours, in a manner that reduces emergency calls and results in achieving the goal of zero call backs
Install and integrate security control systems: access control, video surveillance, intercom systems, video visitation systems, duress systems,
Install and maintain equipment including, but not limited to, cylindrical, mortise, and rim locks, motor and manually driven detention equipment, detention locks, slider service and maintenance
Install and maintain frames, doors, hardware, locks, sliders, furniture and door closers
Read blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembling electronics
Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and filed representatives as necessary
Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment
Adjust and replace defective or improperly functions circuitry and electrical components
Test electronic units, using standard test equipment, a analyze results to evaluate performance
Develop understanding and take part in Field Quality Control and Quality Assurance process
Clear understanding of contractual obligations for each maintenance or service agreement
Lift up to 50lbs
Communicate regularly and effectively as appropriate
Travel to Various projects as assigned
Maintain the standards, culture and values of CML Security
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

High school diploma or GED required
1 Year of related experience or equivalent education preferred or a state recognized apprenticeship training
OSHA-10 certification
Pay Range: $25 to $50 Hourly
