Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail?oriented
Swim School Program Manager
to lead our training, curriculum, and instructional excellence. This role oversees staff onboarding, ongoing development, lesson quality, and overall program flow while ensuring a positive, safe, and engaging experience for swimmers and families. The ideal candidate is an energetic leader with strong communication and organizational skills, and a genuine passion for aquatic education.
Position Overview
The Program Manager is a key leader within our swim school, responsible for building and supporting a high?performing team of instructors. This position ensures that our curriculum is delivered consistently, safely, and at the highest level of quality. The right candidate thrives in a hands?on environment, leads by example, and is dedicated to promoting water safety and swimmer success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the onboarding and comprehensive training of new instructors to ensure confidence and readiness to teach the curriculum effectively.
Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance development for existing team members.
Conduct regular class observations to monitor teaching quality and curriculum adherence, offering constructive, actionable feedback.
Plan and facilitate in?service trainings focused on instructional skills, safety standards, and classroom management.
Oversee accuracy and consistency in the skill?tracking system, ensuring proper documentation of swimmer progress.
Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for families regarding class placement, program expectations, and swimmer advancement.
Teach classes regularly to stay connected with program operations and maintain hands?on leadership.
Assist with scheduling, staffing, and general program coordination as needed.
Ensure full adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for students and staff.
Requirements
Strong time?management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well with diverse groups.
Passion for swimming, water safety, and aquatic education; prior swim instruction experience required.
Previous leadership, supervisory, or training experience in a swim school or aquatics program preferred.
Genuine interest in coaching and developing others.
CPR/First Aid and Lifeguard certifications (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
