As a Swim Instructor, you will:

Teach swimming and/or diving lessons

Enforce health and safety rules in the water and on the pool deck

Perform pool maintenance and cleaning duties

Provide lifesaving assistance when needed

Learn something new EVERY DAY!

To be a successful Swim Instructor, you MUST:

Have a Water Safety Instructor Certificate or previous swim teaching or coaching experience)

Be reliable and have good communication skills

Be able to pass a water test and meet required physical demands

The hourly rate for this SEASONAL/TEMPORARY position is $17.70

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Ability to read and write

Experience: Some work experience, with 300 hours of relevant work experience as leader/instructor in one or more specialized recreation activities; and a Water Safety Instructor Certificate or previous swim teaching or coaching experience

Equivalency: None

Aquatics program positions may require additional training and/or certifications.
