Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Helper to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks, ensuring that meals are prepared and served efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role is essential in supporting the culinary team and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of chefs or kitchen supervisors. Support menu planning by providing input based on dietary needs and preferences. Ensure proper food handling practices are followed to maintain safety and hygiene standards. Help with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients. Participate in catering events by preparing and serving food items as needed. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing work surfaces. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Provide support in inventory management by helping to track supplies and report shortages.

Skills

Experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred. Knowledge of menu planning and food preparation techniques. Familiarity with cooking methods and food service operations. Strong understanding of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus, especially in the food industry or culinary settings. Proficient knife skills for efficient meal preparation. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively during busy periods.
