JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Supervise employees within the Meter-to-Cash organization on key processes such as credit & collections, billing, payment processing and/or data management by organizing, monitoring and appraising work performance. Maintain staff by recruiting, coaching, developing and training employees on jurisdictional regulatory rules and regulations, SOX compliance, and company policies. Serve as a conduit of communication between staff and senior leadership by resolving issues, identifying and implementing positive change to reduce cost and eliminate waste.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement established business strategy and departmental objectives by supervising staff assigned work
  • Partner with cross-functional departments to manage workflow, address production challenges and communicate to appropriate leadership
  • Monitor team productivity and provide performance evaluations, constructive feedback, mentorship, and coaching as needed
  • Enhance customer satisfaction efforts by proactively communicating with others to address issues that adversely impacts revenue and/or our customer standards
  • Continuously look for process improvement opportunities to automate repetitive task or restructure work
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards and adhering to legal regulations
  • Complete operations by developing schedules, assigning and monitoring work, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving operational problems, maintaining reference manuals, and implementing new procedures
  • Control expenses by gathering and submitting budget information, scheduling expenditures, monitoring variances, and implementing corrective actions
  • Stay abreast of regulatory or political changes that may impact Entergy policy decision making
  • Accountable for billing quality, accuracy, and timeliness. Ability to conduct root cause analysis on accounts to effectively reduce errors and improve processes.
  • Partner with various cross-departmental teams such as meter reading, meter services, AMOC, customer service and/or IT to manage customer\'s bills through rate adjustments, reversals, and/or contract approvals.
  • Partner with various cross-departmental teams such as customer service and/or IT to manage how payments are processed and transactions adhere to all corporate, state and federal policies.
  • Manages and interfaces with technical support resources to facilitate resolution and prioritize tickets on system breaks, enhancements, upgrades, etc. Develops controls to ensure the technical solutions are functioning as designed.
  • Serves as the program manager to the Information Technology Project Management Office (PMO) by monitoring and communicating project status. Coordinates business case development for projects. Ensures that sufficient resources are allocated to various projects. Analyzes project requirements for potential negative impacts to the company.
  • Performs analyses that identify and document business process improvement opportunities. Coordinates, prioritizes and facilitates the documentation of business requirements /enhancements (design, development, and maintenance of technical solutions) across multiple functional areas.
  • Performs initial analysis on system problems. Leads recovery efforts for process failures to ensure minimum impact to our stakeholders. Conducts root cause analyses and develops controls to prevent future process failure.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in a technical or business-related field required or equivalent experience. Master\'s degree preferred
Minimum experience required of the position
  • Minimum 5-7+ years relevant professional experience, with degree; OR in lieu of degree, minimum 10+ years of relevant professional experience. Desired: Preferred candidate would have at least 2+ supervisory / project management experience
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
  • High degree of proficiency of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ability to adapt to working with Entergy\'s customer service/accounting systems including but not limited to CCS, AMI, and/or other system applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across the organization. Strong analytical/problems solving, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to make decisions based on information analysis.
  • Ability to manage daily operation of a large team (20+ resources) consisting of full time, part time, contractor, and remote staff.
  • Strong leadership abilities, ability to think strategically, develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Strong customer service and conflict resolution orientation
