Mountain Care Network is a West Virginia-based licensed behavioral health agency seeking to improve the lives of fellow West Virginians. We are licensed clinicians in our communities providing quality mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families.

We are seeking a passionate and energetic, Bachelor's level mental health professional to join our team to provide services in West Virginia! We love new grads!

Job Duties

Under the supervision of the designated Clinical Therapist, the Supportive Counselor is responsible for ensuring the accomplishment of the program's goals and objectives by providing counseling services to the target population. The Supportive Counselor will ensure compliance with safe work practices and maintain safe environments in compliance with established agency standards, licensing regulations and generally accepted practice. Assist in the daily needs of participants, including the participation in interdisciplinary team treatment plans. Provide observation, ongoing assessment and therapeutic intervention consistent with physical and psychological status. Provide individual and/or group therapy for participants to achieve therapeutic goals. Participate in the treatment/care plan, initial assessment, level of care considerations and discharge planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field Knowledge of trauma treatment and family systems theory Experience working with at risk populations and their families Knowledge of specific software programs used within your organization Excellent listening and communication skills Ability to make psychosocial assessments and develop and implement care plans Ability to provide after-hours service as needed Valid driver's license
Responsibilities

Provide individual / group counseling. Oversee the needs of a caseload of 30 clients or more Maintain accurate clinical records and other written documentation. Attend treatment team meetings. Develop and update treatment plans. Provide progress reports for treatment team meetings. Attend necessary training as well as assist with training when necessary. Participate in clinical staffing, clinical supervision, and team building. Assess risk of suicide plan intervention Develop Aftercare plan with client participation. Participate in program development as needed. Maintain a therapeutic relationship with the participant and family. Assist Supervisor and any other assigned staff with tasks as needed. Maintenance, upkeep and cleanliness of the center.

May be subjected to infectious or hazardous substances, etc.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year
