Job Description

As a Kids Club Program Assistant, you will be responsible for providing direct supervision and appropriate planned activities for participants. You will coordinate activities with other staff and volunteers to assure the maximum amount of supervision. Other duties include:

• Supervising children in the Kids Club Program and coordinating with community resources to provide recreational and educational activities.
• Helping to plan and implement the activities of Kids Club.
• Helping prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
• Providing all-day programming for full school length days during the school year and during winter and spring breaks.
• Providing tutoring as needed
• Recording behavior and participation of each child in the program and help to evaluate progress.
• Completing incident reports as necessary.
• Maintaining a clean facility, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintaining good working relationships with school personnel, janitors, secretaries, and parents.

Required qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Previous experience with supervising children is a plus.
• Must obtain CPR/First Aid certification within three months of hire.
• A High School Diploma/equivalent is required.
• One year of experience working in the human services field is required.
