We are looking for an enthusiastic director to manage our summer camp. In this role, your duties will include designing and executing suitable recreational activities, submitting orders for camp supplies, training camp employees as well as direct childcare functions. Your duties may also include modifying activities to suit the needs of specific groups. To ensure success, camp directors should exhibit experience in developing camp curricula and demonstrate the ability to assume responsibility for the day-to-day management of a group of 25-45 school age children. Outstanding candidates prioritize the safety of all campers and ensure an excellent experience. Responsibilities:
- Consulting with center director to determine camp requirements.
- Developing and execute a camp curriculum with level-appropriate leisure and recreational activities.
- Planning daily camp activities and creating activity schedules.
- Presenting camp information to prospective clients, when required.
- Train and supervise camp employees
- Overseeing accommodations, meals, and ensuring the wellbeing of campers.
- Modifying activities for campers with special needs.
- Ensuring safe practices and a healthy camp environment.
- Keeping records and documenting processes.
- Childcare Administrator certificate, School-Age Site Coordinator certificate or ability to attain one within 30 days
- CPR and First Aid or ability to attain within 30 days
- Child care and summer camp experiencein similarly structured camps.

- Advanced ability to train, and oversee camp employees, as well as ensuring the campers\' wellbeing.
- ability to pass background/fingerprinting according to the State of Delaware requirements
- In-depth knowledge of activity-related safety regulations, as well as health and sanitation requirements.
- Ability to document processes and perform recordkeeping.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Preschool Teacher Certificate (Preferred)
