Are you looking for a meaningful and fun summer job opportunity working with local youth? Kimball Jenkins is hiring enthusiastic summer camp staff to lead our day-campers in history and arts-based instruction. Campers and staff will paint, sculpt, mold, draw, design, and play outdoors during a 8 week, day-program. A variety of opportunities are available for reliable and caring individuals who are passionate about positive youth development, the arts and history. These are seasonal positions starting mid-June through mid-August. Camp will take place both indoors and outdoors on our historic 3 acre-campus in downtown Concord, NH. We are very interested in creating an inclusive environment and providing safe spaces for a broad spectrum of New Hampshire\'s exceptional artists and educators, including people with disabilities, BIPOC artists, Queer artists and New Americans. Lead Counselors (Ages 18+) Salary: $18.50/ hour Lead Counselors are responsible for leading educational and recreational activities in the arts and history. Counselors will be responsible for supervising and teaching the curriculum and day-to-day activities for students in their age group, and will co-teach with another counselor. Age ranges include 6-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13+. Camp groups range from 9-15 students. Experience in leadership positions, teaching and supervising young people is required. Must be self-directed, able to work independently, and ensure camper safety every minute of the day. Skills

About Kimball Jenkins: Kimball Jenkins is a vibrant community based nonprofit organization. We are located in downtown Concord, NH on a lush 3-acre campus, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Our mission is to cultivate creativity, make arts education accessible, and honor historic preservation. We have operated a summer day-camp for more than 15 years. Our facilities include five buildings which house classrooms, a ceramics studio, printmaking studio, darkroom, and performance spaces. The main house is one of the finest examples of Victorian craftsmanship in the region. Our ample lawn space and gardens also include a small playhouse.
