Job Description


Beyond The Natural Foundation (BTNF), in collaboration with Stillmeadow Community Fellowship church, has created a dynamic summer camp experience to provide high-dosage enrichment programming where youth get to learn positive ways to express themselves through musical art, collaborate on projects that create community, enhance their critical thinking and writing skills, and decrease summer learning loss. During this summer camp experience, youth grow musically by learning Songwriting, Beat Making, Music Production, Piano, Drumming and Vocal Performance while exploring the fundamental aspects of rhythm and harmony. Campers get to develop academically through progress-driven academic instruction for the upcoming school grade in Mathematics and Language Arts subject areas. Camp session is June 26, 2023 to August 18, 2023. BTNF is seeking an energetic, accountable Camp Coordinator to provide a safe and memorable experience for our campers. The ideal candidate values Christian principles, will be an excellent multitasker and responsible for managing the Instructional and Operational design of the camp experience, including collaboration with camp partners and organizations. Duties include - Assisting with the pre-planning and prep work regarding camp including but not limited to: structure of day, recruitment/enrollment of students, applications, planning excursions etc. - Assisting with identifying and the interview process of hiring camp counselors - Supervising and monitoring Facilitators, Counselors, and Volunteers - Participating in Summer Camp Debrief sessions - Ensuring camp counselors adhere to, implement, and enforce camp safety and behavior policies and protocols - Gathering camper attendance and growth data for end of camp reports - Participating in pre-camp required process design sessions, counselor orientation and training - Overseeing Camp Counselor timesheet submissions - Assuring all paperwork is kept accurate including attendance, class rosters, contact list for all staff etc. - Maintaining a current and accurate record of all children enrolled in the Summer Camp - Interfacing with parents about camper concerns or issues Job qualifications include - Ability to work with diverse populations - Experience working with youth and school communities - Ability to organize time, space, materials, and groups - Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to recognize staff and students development needs - Must be able to participate in potentially strenuous physical activity - Prior work with Summer Camps is a plus but not required
Details: 1. Pay: $16 per hour
