Structural Steel Estimator
will play a critical role in our project management team by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring that projects are completed within budget.
Duties:
Prepare detailed cost estimates and take offs for structural steel projects, Metal building systems and insulated metal panels using industry-standard software such as Bluebeam.
Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates.
Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to understand project requirements and constraints.
Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information necessary for accurate estimating.
Review contracts and assist in the preparation of bid proposals for potential projects.
Provide support during the bidding process by answering questions from clients and stakeholders regarding estimates.
Qualifications:
Experience in construction industry, particularly in structural steel projects.
Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam is highly desirable.
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable pricing agreements.
Comprehensive understanding of construction management principles and practices.
Experience with cost control measures and pricing strategies in a construction environment.
Familiarity with contracts related to construction projects is essential.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
