Stormwater Engineer (Seattle, WA)
Evergreen StormH2O is a rapidly growing consulting firm in Washington State that focuses on water resources engineering and environmental service projects. We are looking for a Stormwater Engineer who is passionate about stormwater management to join a motivated and supportive team that mentors and empowers its employees. Our firm engages with projects that include stormwater design and comprehensive planning, NPDES Permit compliance support, hydraulics and hydrology modeling, surface water design and policy manual development, and stormwater research. This postion is for an Engineer base in the Seattle, WA area and will require some travel for project work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work on a variety of stormwater planning, research, design, and permit compliance projects
Create and update hydraulic and hydrology models to support the development of stormwater comprehensive plans, studies, and designs
Conduct site visits, collect data, and provide data analysis
Assist in the development of technical memos, alternatives analyses, engineering reports, and planning studies
Assist with project management duties including developing and managing project schedules and budgets
Mentor and delegate to junior staff
Coordinate with clients and teaming partners
Actively participate in the development of proposals and grant applications
Education and Licensure
Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental engineering (required)
Master's degree in civil/environmental engineering (preferred)
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification (required) or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) (preferred)
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
4+ years of relevant experience
Experience with SWMM (required)
Experience with GIS, MGS Flood, WWHM, AutoCAD, and StormShed (preferred)
Working knowledge of and a commitment to stay current with the Washington State Phase I and Phase II Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) Permits and Ecology stormwater design manuals
Experience with successful grant writing (preferred)
Experience with project and task management, including delegating and reviewing work (preferred)
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Washington State resident living in or near the Spokane, WA area
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Benefits and Compensation
$95,000 to $110,000 salary
