Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). The National Security & Space Sector of SAIC is seeking a Storage Administrator Senior to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.

SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation\'s information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.

Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).



Supports management of network infrastructure operations, maintenance and administration for non-virtual and virtual systems for the specific environments, networks and/or network components supported by Data Center Operations (DCO), as part of the overall strategic objective of the program modernization and initiatives to provide an improved flexible and evolving enterprise IT environment to support the program mission IAW with program and DoD policies and procedures and commonly utilized industry best practices. Researches, maintains, and applies expertise in emerging technologies, and industry developments, trends, best practices, and principles of network management. Conducts day-to-day network operations and administration activities, maintaining networks, systems, applications, and technology, for the DCO-supported data centers; server and storage environments; local and cloud environments; and all associated infrastructure. Performs network and site survey support, conducting upgrades, replacements, and maintenance activities. Ensures infrastructure is secure, available, and optimized. Improves scalability, surge, and automation capabilities. Performs trend analysis to ensure capacity and performance necessary for current and future mission demands and surge operations. Provides load balancing support and maintains egress/ingress access points. Supports VDI and cloud migration initiatives and transitions. Manages asset lifecycle maintenance, coordinating schedules and complying with end-of-life/end-of-support timelines. Supports accreditations for deployment of network/equipment. Provides cable management in data centers, LAN rooms, and telecom closets. Performs regular weekly/monthly patching and security updates for network systems and devices, testing patches prior to deployment. Hardens network systems/devices according to DOD DISA STIG guidance. Conducts vulnerability assessment audits. Identifies and resolves network problems, using monitoring and bandwidth management solution products and by coordinating with third-party providers. Plans and executes backups and recovery operations. Facilitates change approvals through the change review board. Supports compilation, implementation, maintenance and archiving of documentation such as network diagrams, plans, designs, and architecture documentation, network SOPs, a Network Operations Runbook, site-to-site VPN mapping, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) instances mapping, and rack/elevation diagrams mapping, Access Control Lists (ACLs), network management trend analysis reports, accreditations, CM, and change control documentation. Provide inputs into the Activity Report.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

It is required that the Storage Administrator Senior (DCO) have the following qualifications:

  • BA/BS
  • 5 to 8 years of experience
  • TS (SCI Eligible)
  • Applicable Server Management Compute Environment (CE) Certification
  • IAT Level II, Certification in one of the following areas, CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP
Desired Qualifications
  • MA/MS with 3 to 6 years of experience
  • TS/SCI
