Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Stocker to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing transactions, and ensuring the store remains well-stocked and organized. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic math abilities, and experience in retail sales or grocery store environments. Bilingual skills are a plus to assist a diverse customer base. This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop your sales and merchandising skills while supporting daily store operations.

Duties

Operate POS systems efficiently to process customer transactions accurately Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods with proper cash handling procedures Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries Upsell products and promote store specials during checkout to enhance sales Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area for a positive shopping experience Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure products are available and visually appealing Conduct product demos when applicable to engage customers and promote items Assist with merchandising tasks to ensure displays are attractive and stock levels are maintained Supervise or assist with stocking activities during slower periods or as needed Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations

Requirements

Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales preferred Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer interaction skills Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math calculations Experience in stocking, merchandising, or grocery store environments is advantageous Supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities Ability to upsell products and perform product demos effectively Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve a diverse customer base Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask efficiently
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
