MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires an advanced degree in Engineering, Physics, or similar discipline. A doctoral degree is highly desirable.
  • At least 5 years of experience developing electromechanical, electroacoustic, and/or electro-optical systems
  • Experience in one or more of these areas is desirable:
-Radio frequency wireless development

-Embedded firmware development

-FPGA design

-ASIC development

ABOUT THE JOB!

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer or scientist to join our Advanced Enabling Technology team within our Situational Awareness organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research, developing new technologies, working on complex engineering projects, and leading the design and development of advanced systems and products. The Advanced Enabling Technology team is a multi-disciplinary group of engineers and scientists who work on next-generation products in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
  • Demonstrated-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Creative problem solving and detail-oriented program execution.
  • Must have strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability condense and convey complex concepts to key stakeholders.
  • Experience with classified programs and/or Department of Defense (DoD) customers is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct research and development on advanced technologies and systems.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the design, development, and evaluation of advanced systems and products.
  • Develop and review engineering designs, schematics, and documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
  • Identify areas for innovation and improvement and drive the development of new technologies and products.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies, methods, and tools relevant to the future product road map.
  • Contribute directly to research activities (direct engagement, field observation, client interaction, trade shows, vendor engagement, academia engagement, high influence customers).
  • Participate in the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and other engineering documentation as required.
