Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Stable Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong background in agriculture and farming practices. This position involves daily care of horses and other livestock, maintaining the cleanliness of stables, and ensuring the overall well-being of the animals. The Stable Hand will also assist with various farm operations and equipment maintenance.

Duties

Provide daily care for horses and other livestock, including feeding, watering, and health monitoring. Maintain clean and safe stable environments by mucking out stalls and cleaning equipment. Assist in the operation and maintenance of farm machinery, including tractors and manure spreaders. Perform basic repairs on equipment and tools as needed. Handle animals safely and effectively, demonstrating strong animal husbandry skills. Assist with lawn maintenance, horticulture tasks, and building maintenance as required. Engage in heavy lifting and operation of heavy equipment as part of daily responsibilities.

Skills

Attention to detail, make sure all animals have a clean healthy environment and fresh feed and water. Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues. Strong understanding of animal husbandry practices to ensure animal health and safety. Proficiency in welding for equipment repair when necessary. Equine experience is highly desirable for handling horses safely.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
