  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering or academic equivalent
  • Industrial Leadership with Industrial Management Experience and/or Industrial Program Management experience in an industrial operations environment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes(es), tooling, and assembly of body exterior systems & component commodities. (Roof Systems, Font end systems, SMC, body ornamentation & trim, Mirrors, Front/Rear Facias/Bumpers etc.)
  • Experience with Tooling, Assembly, Stamping, welding, metal/plastic joining technologies, Injection Molding, SMC, or Painting is desired
  • Experience with Problem Solving and resolving complex issues working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Quality Operating systems and tools
  • Supply/Issue Resolution Management Experience
  • Be proficient in English, both written and oral when working with global teams
  • Flexibility to Travel US/Canada/Mexico

  • Manage Supplier Operations/Industrialization, Quality and Launch of New Programs (Capital, Tooling and Labor plans)
  • Manage and validate Quality systems, tools, and techniques with the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Capacity Analysis Uplifts and improvements, and Constraints Resolution
  • Supply/Crisis Management Experienced to resolve resolution to equipment, tooling and process downtime issues.
  • Prepare and present technical and industrialization deep-dive presentations and workplans to Executive audiences.
  • In a Leadership role you will be responsible for your Engineering Direct Reports, managing Supplier Industrialization, Quality, and Launch activities.
  • Support People Development process via mentoring / coaching your Engineers.
  • Drive timely and candid performance feedback. Conduct effective performance reviews and Check-Ins per Process.
  • Provide prioritization and leadership to Engineers for corrective and preventive supplier manufacturing actions.
  • Manage Supplier emerging significant issues (quality, manufacturing, supply issues, etc.) and drive risk mitigation actions with urgency.
  • Manage and Monitor suppliers operating 24/7 and provide on-site intervention as required.
  • Work with Site Engineers to prioritize on-site interventions for critical suppliers to validate capacity, quality, industrialization, and production recovery actions.
  • Escalate capacity shortfalls and support cross-functional risk mitigation activities.
  • Monitor and report incremental capacity tooling required, capacity and OEE verification, per PPAP requirements.
  • Drive Organizational Quality Operating Systems (QOS) compliance.
  • Drive Supplier Engagement for new programs through adherence to APQP (Advanced Part Quality Planning) disciplines that lead to flawless Launch.
  • Conduct onsite evaluation visits for priority commodities per Global Product Develop System (GPDS) supplier engagement process for new programs.
  • Prepare and Lead Technical Deep Dives for new launches as appropriate, identify and escalate red issues and \xe2\x80\x9cdate to green\xe2\x80\x9d plans to appropriate management.
  • Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing excellence with your assigned Supplier Partners and Engineers to attain Q1, deploy Manufacturing Health Charts, and deliver Supplier training as required.
  • Drive robust problem-solving processes for supplier issues related to Stop Shipments/builds, Field Service Actions, Prevent Action Closure and Supplier Quality projects.
  • Drive robust Supplier Risk Assessment to support sourcing through appropriate forums.
  • Engage with key suppliers, SME\xe2\x80\x99s and Technical Specialists to address sourcing, new technology, systemic Quality, capacity and manufacturing related issues.
