Job Description
This is a 1st Shift Mon-Friday role (can be flexible with the schedule)
Seeking a Sr QC Lab Tech to support a regulated lab in Sharonville, Ohio. This person is responsible for the quality, safety, and compliance of the laboratory operations as well as the timely release of test results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Direct and implement various analytical tests on incoming samples of raw materials (RM), product components (Intermediates), and Finished Products to assure the Quality of the component. These include but are not limited to:
- Logging samples into the Sample Data Base.
- Performing analytical tests using the following testing equipment and recording results:
- Fourier Transform - Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR).
- Handheld & Benchtop Densitometers (SG-Specific Gravity)
- Refractometers (RI-Refractive Index)
- Small Scale Flash Point Tester (Flashpoint)
- Total Acidity - manual titrations
- pH meter
- Hot plate (boiling point testing)
- Turbidity
- Absorbance
- Moisture
- Gas Chromatography Mass Spec (GCMS)
- Gas Chromatography Flame Ionization Detector (GCFID)
- 3-5 years of quality control manufacturing lab experience from food/flavor, chemical or pharmaceutical
- Decision making abilities
- Troubleshooting and calibrations of technical lab equipment
- Bachelors in Chemistry, Food Science, Biology or related Science Degree
- Food/Flavor lab manufacturing experience
