A global construction equipment manufacturer is looking for a Sr. Electronic Control Systems Engineer to be a part of the team designing mobile construction equipment at their Henderson, NV facility.

Successful candidates will be creating control systems requirements, control systems functional specification for software development, writing test plans, developing and testing software, DFMEAs, etc

Requirements

MUST HAVE:

• Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree or related degree applicable to the position, MSEE preferred. Will consider BSME.
• 5+ years of electrical and/or electronic engineering experience in mobile equipment -- construction, agriculture, forestry, off-highway, or related industry.
• Experience creating control systems requirements, control systems functional specification for software development, writing test plans, developing and testing software, DFMEAs, etc

• Experience designing electrical systems using CanBus Systems, SAE J1939 CAN, and ISO 11783
• Experience using Parker Hannifin IQAN CanBus System is a plus.
• Experience in Electrification, digitalization, and IoT experience.
• Functional knowledge of HMI (Human Machine Interface) displays, joysticks, gauge clusters, implement control systems
• Knowledge of troubleshooting/diagnosing control systems fault codes
• General knowledge of mobile construction equipment or off-highway vehicle design and operation

• Develop electrical & electronics control systems for various construction product lines
• Develop electrical systems specifications, electronic control systems technical specifications
• Create electrical schematics and develop software for machine control ECUs
• Collaborate with internal organizations and outside partners to develop new products following the NPD process
• Responsible to provide technical support to create machine BOM, electrical schematics, wiring harnesses routing and assembly drawings
• Work closely with wiring harness manufacturers to provide 2-D harness prints ensuring correct ECU pinouts and connectors
• Work with product managers to ensure electrical and control systems design is developed on-time
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost and to improve design/development cycle time from concept to production
• Write End-of-Line electrical systems functional test procedures for assigned projects
• Support prototype builds and document areas for improvement
• Write and process ECNs to improve design, as necessary
• Provide technical input to Service Publications and Product Support team
• Any other tasks as requested by management.
