As a Developer Programmer Lead, you are responsible for design, develop, test, and implement thoughtful and cost-effective software solutions and applications in support of AmeriHealth Caritas Medicaid/Medicare organization. Develop superior documentation according to established standards. Provide production support. Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, unit test, document, schedule, & deploy supportable technical solutions to business needs.
  • Carries out systematic problem identification, analysis, and resolution.
  • Analyzes and reduces complex problems into simple, manageable components.
  • Translate Business Requirements and/or Functional Specifications into technical solutions.
  • Develops technical design specifications and participate in and/or lead code reviews.
  • Work independently to develop, configure, and test programs to specifications.
  • Prepares documentation for deployment instructions and operating procedures, with limited guidance.
  • Maintains awareness of information security requirements and scalability issues during design and development.
  • Monitoring, ticket triaging and completion, issue/root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Provide production support based on rotation basis, including weekends
  • Determines, investigates, and carries out application problem resolutions until the problem is resolved.
  • Ensure that SLA\xe2\x80\x99s for scheduled jobs are adhered to by team and Production Control resources.
  • Effectively identifies and escalates issues as appropriate.
  • Leads technical meetings, as required.
Education/ Experience:
  • Eight (8) years of relevant healthcare IT experience (SDLC - Waterfall / Agile, and Production Support).
  • Knowledge of Healthcare (Medicare/Medicaid, Members, Providers, Claims, etc); 5+ years of experience.
  • Five to seven (5 - 7) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in DataStage, SQL DB Modeling and Unix/Linux Shell Scripting, PowerShell Script and GIT.
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL Server database is required.
  • Experience in .Net is nice to have but not required.
  • Experience with any file job scheduler like Tidal.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
