Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Splunk App Developer to support a short-term Proof of Concept (POC) engagement. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in log analysis, advanced dashboard development, and data source integration, demonstrating the value of Splunk in deriving operational insights from infrastructure and application data.

This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data correlation, and the ability to design meaningful visualizations that highlight patterns, anomalies, and system health indicators. Upon successful completion and approval of the POC, this engagement may transition into a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and deploy Splunk apps and dashboards tailored to business and technical use cases.

Develop and optimize SPL queries, reports, and scheduled searches for real-time operational insights.

Onboard and integrate multiple data sources, including infrastructure, application, and network logs.

Perform log correlation and analysis to identify performance trends, anomalies, and root causes.

Work closely with infrastructure and data teams to ensure accurate and efficient data ingestion into Splunk.

Apply advanced data visualization techniques to deliver clear, actionable dashboards and insights.

Validate POC outcomes with measurable results and create detailed documentation of setup, configurations, and best practices.

Recommend enhancements for scalability and operationalization post-POC.

Required Skills & Experience:

3-5 years of professional experience as a Splunk Developer / App Engineer.

Demonstrated expertise in SPL (Search Processing Language) and advanced dashboard customization (Simple XML, JavaScript, or HTML).

Strong experience with log ingestion, parsing, normalization, and field extractions.

Solid understanding of infrastructure and application log analysis across Linux, Windows, and network environments.

Proven ability to identify behavioral patterns and trends within large datasets.

Familiarity with Common Information Model (CIM) and data modeling is an advantage.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to present findings effectively.
