We have an exciting opportunity within the P&C Servicing area supporting the Internet Servicing Billing application as an Automation Test Lead. This is a critical application supporting external Nationwide customers. We are seeking a proven Test Automation Lead Developer who possesses internal drive, is quality oriented and loves leading test automation initiatives on complex technical business solutions. This person will drive the automation strategy (built in Ruby Cucumber) and ensure quality on the delivery of exciting new IT solutions. This team is high performing and knowledgeable as well as welcoming and collaborative which will enable you to quickly learn the application and new technologies to support delivery.

This role can be filled remotely.

As a Software Engineer, you will focus primarily on providing high quality, efficient technology solutions to business partners by crafting new software applications or modifying and/or supporting existing packaged or custom-built applications. In this capacity, you\xe2\x80\x99ll analyze, code, configure, test, debug, document and maintain applications.



Key Responsibilities:

Analyzes, solutions, develops, tests, debugs, documents and deploys software according to standards in an agile environment.

Uses DevSecOps practices, tooling and techniques.

Drives continuous improvement and learning through ongoing training, practice and innovation.

Manages medium to large project priorities, deadlines and deliverables proactively.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to a Technology Manager/Director.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Completion of undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degree. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.

Experience: Four or more years of analysis and technology experience.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming language such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript. Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle. Proven ability to tackle complex business and development problems. Ability to thrive in a team environment. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager\xe2\x80\x99s leader and Human Resources Business Partner.

Nationwide pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement within the actual starting salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. If a Sales job, Sales Incentives, based on performance goals are possible in addition to this range.

The national salary range for Specialist, Software Engineer : 80,000.00-164,500.00

The expected starting salary range for Specialist, Software Engineer : 89,000.00 - 133,000.00
