Position Overview

Paradigm Professional Health Services, Inc. seeks a Special Education Coordinator to support the Bureau of Indian Education's mission of delivering quality educational services to students with disabilities. The Coordinator will provide leadership, technical assistance, and compliance oversight to ensure adherence to IDEA and BIE regulations.

Responsibilities

Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate special education programs across assigned BIE schools.

Ensure all student IEPs meet federal and state requirements.

Conduct onsite and virtual monitoring for compliance with IDEA Part B.

Provide guidance and training to special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators.

Analyze academic and behavioral data to identify trends and improvement areas.

Develop and submit monthly and annual reports summarizing activities and outcomes.

Serve as liaison among BIE leadership, school staff, and families to promote inclusion and educational equity.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field (required).

Current special education certification/license.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in special education coordination, compliance, or program administration.

Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and related federal regulations.

Experience with BIE or tribal school systems preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and data management skills.

Ability to travel regionally as needed.

Performance Expectations

Deliver monthly compliance and progress reports by the 10th of each month.

Achieve measurable improvements in program compliance rates.

Maintain professional, timely communication with BIE officials and school leadership.

Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity when working with tribal communities.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
