Summary


Spire is seeking an Energy Efficiency Specialist to work in the Kansas City operation. This position will be responsible for assisting in efforts necessary for the successful implementation and delivery of Spire\xe2\x80\x99s Conservation and Energy Efficiency Program Portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Support a range of incoming customer contacts/referrals to promote our energy efficiency rebates, Energy Wise financing and natural gas contractor programs.
  • Utilize internal systems such as CC&B, collaborate with other departments and utilize all tools necessary to identify opportunities to promote energy efficiency programs
  • Present energy and cost-analysis to educate others on benefits of energy efficiency measures
  • Reach out to internal/external customers via phone calls, written communication, personal visits and community meetings, etc. to promote the energy efficiency programs
  • Conduct outreach activities with business and industry professional groups and trade allies through events, presentations, workshops, and one-on-one meetings.
  • Work closely with the Energy Efficiency Manager and Energy Efficiency team to achieve goals
  • Understand and successfully communicate natural gas benefits including some technical aspects of natural gas equipment and its operation
  • Participate in educational programs for industry and trade allies
  • Assist with tracking & reporting on program effectiveness.
  • Perform administrative functions as needed
  • Assist in special projects as assigned and communicate project status and results to staff and management
  • All other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities


  • None


Required Education (certifications, licenses)


  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree from an accredited college or university preferred



Required knowledge, skill and abilities


  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Utility experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Power Point



Physical demands, environment and schedule


  • Normal Work Environment - Work is normally performed in a shared office environment
  • Typically, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday
  • Minimal overtime/travel required
