Solar Service Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar energy systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in various environments, including construction sites. As a Solar Technician, you will play a crucial role in promoting renewable energy solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Duties

Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of solar energy systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair residential and commercial systems Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently. Utilize power tools and equipment safely while adhering to all safety regulations. Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings related to solar installations. Measure voltage using voltmeters and ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety protocols.

Skills

Proficiency in using power tools and equipment relevant to solar installations. Knowledge of low voltage systems and high voltage electrical work. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of site safety practices. Familiarity with voltmeters for measuring electrical output. Understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations as they pertain to solar installations. Background as a commercial electrician is highly desirable. Ability to plumb systems accurately for optimal performance. Experience reading schematics and technical documentation related to electrical systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34.00-38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
