In addition to a global, extensive and diverse energy data library, TGS offers specialized services such as advanced processing and analytics alongside cloud-based data applications and solutions. Our team is responsible for building customer-specific software solutions. We work directly embedded with our customers on projects that they define. We understand TGS data, software, and services and make recommendations about how to best use them.

This position will work on-site at a TGS Client Fortune 500 energy company to continue a long-standing relationship. We are looking for candidates that can work 50% at client and 50% at TGS Houston office or remote.
Responsibilities:

• Work directly embedded at a Houston-Based TGS Client (50% remote, 50% on-site)
• Work with developers and product managers and to deliver customer-specific solutions
• Identify technical tasks from business requirements & coordinate work with developers
• Work with APIs, databases, and Azure Cloud
• Write efficient and reproducible code with clarity and transparency in a peer-reviewed environment
• Demonstrate team leadership qualities
• Be a TGS Representative & Advocate

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• BS or higher degree in Computer Science, or related fields.
• Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong preference given to candidates with experience working directly with customers.
• C# / .NET Core and .NET 6.0
• Strong background in REST API development, service-based architecture, and unit testing
• Strong background in ETL projects
• Experience with Azure (basic services such as Functions, Application Insights, Blob Storage, and CosmosDB)
• Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD and Ansible
• Experience with Elasticsearch, Postman
• Experience with git for source control, ADO pull request process
• Basic data engineering/data quality experience
