Job Description


THK Manufacturing of America, Inc. is looking for a DX Engineer to join our team. With the advent of Industry 4.0, THK is looking to revolutionize the way we collect and analyze data within the plant. By utilizing digital data collection systems, aggregation and storage systems, and Siemens Plant Simulation, our goal is to create a digital twin of our processes, optimizing and increasing throughput along the way. Duties for this position include software development, database management, Plant Simulation, and PLC integration.
Responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for capturing data, converting into a neutral format, and building platforms with common application programming interfaces across production and engineering systems. Replacing document-based information exchange with digital platforms and building or developing systems that integrate IoT technologies to drive improvements in manufacturing, maintenance, and system performance.
  • Deploy applications to Kubernetes and build full-stack applications for data collection, reporting, and optimization
  • Administer Linux servers, a high availability Kubernetes deployment, and supporting infrastructure to foster an efficient development team
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting, manage multiple simultaneous projects, manage project prioritization, and the ability to work with people with various skills, backgrounds, cultures, and English language ability
  • Ability to learn processes and adapt quickly. Must be able to understand the interdependence of man, method, and machine to create improvements or to solve complex issues.
  • Operations-Attain a thorough working knowledge of the current infrastructure and operation(s) of process and equipment (including operation sheets, process, methods, testing, and standards).
  • Research-Research multiple platforms related to DX and Industry 4.0 for possible DX solutions.
  • Planning and Implementation\xe2\x80\x94Develop possible solutions or phase approach solutions towards a DX goal.
  • Support-Have the ability to support any implemented solutions to prevent loss of production and management functionality.
  • Training- Have the ability to extensively train on implemented systems at the production, engineering, quality, IT and management levels.
  • Budgeting- Upon development of recommended solutions be able to create accurate budgets for implementation of systems as well as possible ROI for solutions.
Successful candidates will have:
  • A Associates, Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s, or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Information/Data Management, Management Information Systems/Technology, or a related field
  • Interest in hands-on engineering \xe2\x80\x93 connecting to and improving advanced machinery
  • Working knowledge in TypeScript, C++, HTML, and CSS, and understanding of low-level data structures and memory management
  • One year or more experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based services and associated infrastructure \xe2\x80\x93 (experience in design and implementation of cloud-based services in Azure/AWS is highly desirable)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Stack (Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, SQL, Power BI \xe2\x80\x93 SSIS especially desirable)
  • Data and Infrastructure candidates will need to have the ability to design relational data models and query databases using SQL along with the ability to program in Python, VBA, Java, HTML, C, and C++.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making, organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and solid Microsoft Office skills required
  • Ability to provide exceptional service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, display passion and commitment towards finding creative and efficient solutions to analytical problems, achieving results and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of duties
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Benefits:
