Position Description

At Big West, the software developer position is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of mission-critical enterprise applications. Working with cross-functional teams, you will gather information and develop requirements based on business needs. That information will be used to design, develop, test, and document solutions utilizing Power Platform, C#, and scripting languages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Use the principles of software design, debugging, and testing to develop and maintain applications in C#, SharePoint, PowerApps, and Power Automate
• Design and maintain ETL processes, including SSIS, PowerShell and Linux shell scripts
• As senior team lead, mentor and motivate the development team
• Participate in cross-team activities to gather required reporting and dashboard requirements
• Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement solutions
• Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of existing applications
• Maintain web projects using PHP, including the company website and Intranet
• Ensure proper configuration management, change controls, and documentation practices are implemented for your sphere of influence
• Provide technical assistance, training and data validation to end-users
• Implement technology best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes
• Design, test, implement, and maintain reports using SSRS and Power BI

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in related field

• Equivalent combination of experience, education, and training will be considered
• 10+ years\' experience developing and implementing enterprise-scale applications and reporting, including:

• Working with users in a requirements analysis role
• Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts (relational and dimensional)
• Experience with Sharepoint, Power Platform, and other Microsoft 365 technologies
• Experience with PowerShell and also JDE is a plus
• Proficiency with SQL Server and T-SQL
• Experience with SSRS, SSIS, Power BI (DAX language) or another BI platform is a plus
• Familiarity with complex data and structures
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Requires strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and people, assessing and adjusting quickly to changing priorities
• Desire and ability to adapt to changing application, data platforms, and technologies
