Job Description

Augustana Apartments is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Social Work to join our team. To be successful, you will have knowledge of multiple payer source programs, excellent verbal and written skills, knowledge and experience working with diverse populations, chemical and mental health. We are a nonprofit, faith-based assisted living, independent living and care suite community serving 350 residents.

This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position working Monday through Friday.

Our ideal Director of Social Work candidate is:

• Experienced in senior housing; with knowledge of federal and state assistance and waiver programs.
• Proficient in problem solving; and has excellent communication; active listening and \xe2\x80\x9cneeds assessment\xe2\x80\x9d skills.
• Comfortable working both independently and as a team member.
• Self-starter, team oriented and highly motivated

Director of Social Work responsibilities:

• Specific program management
• Group facilitation as well as one to one client contact
• Information, referral and navigation of community based services
• Understanding of mental, chemical, and behavioral health
• Additional tasks as assigned by supervisor

Social Worker skills and requirements:

• BSW/current MN LSW Licensure required
• 3+ years of experience in housing and healthcare required
• Ability to prioritize and work as a team
