GENERAL SUMMARY
The Social Services Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the day-to day operations of Social Services staff, Medical Social Workers, Prescription Assistance Coordinators and Medical Case Workers ensuring compliance across departments with workflows, audits, transportation services, referrals and resources processes. Assist in developing, updating, and implementing policies, onboarding processes, interns and apprenticeship needs and applications while reviewing procedures that govern the operations of the Social Work, Resource and Prescription Assistance departments. Social Service Supervisor will develop and refine programs within the social work, resource and prescription assistance departments, aimed at improving patient care, service delivery, and overall department efficiency. Social Services Supervisor will collaborate with other leaders, medical providers and administrative staff to ensure and enhance patient care and service delivery. Social Services Supervisor will oversee department budget, supplies, time keeping and other duties as assigned by Cooper Green Mercy Health.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for creating and supervising role-specific duties for Social Workers and Prescription Assistance Program personnel.
?
Complete annual performance evaluations for assigned direct reports.
?
Create onboarding plans for new employees, assuring staff is appropriately oriented and onboarded.
?
Maintain time and attendance logs for direct reports; update logs weekly to include all pay period variances.
?
Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI); gather and report CQI data to the appropriate personnel.
?
Support quality and fiscal goals for the department and facility.
?
Assist in the process of annual budgets within the area of responsibility; review the budget with the immediate supervisor and group practice manager; monitor budgetary compliance regularly to forecast future problems; assist in developing strategies to address fiscal issues.
?
Accomplishes human resource objectives by interviewing, selecting, onboarding, and completing
departmental check-offs of new employees; follows disciplinary process if applicable with collaboration with HR Administrator.
?
Assist in crafting departmental policies and procedures, and ensure they are followed, especially those related to patient care and safety.
?
Build and maintain working relationships with a network of interdisciplinary teams within CGMHSA and the community.
?
Perform direct reports' responsibilities as needed.
?
In an effort to improve quality of care and enhance efficiency, this leader will:
Analyze existing business processes and develop strategies for improvement.
Implement, monitor and upgrade the improved processes.
Document all process changes and updates.
Monitor the impact of process changes and make adjustments as necessary.
Prepare and present reports on the progress and impact of process improvement initiatives.
Manage process improvement projects from inception to completion.

Participates in special projects to support the operations of the organization, and perform other duties assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
?
Master's Degree in Social Work or a closely related field. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirements.
?
Five years Social Worker experience; STRONGLY PREFERRED: Three years of experience as a Social Worker lead, or supervisor/manager.
?
This role may require the use of a personal vehicle or operating the company vehicle.
Access to reliable personal transportation with a valid driver's license and auto insurance required
Auto insurance must include: $100,000 of bodily injury per person; $300,000 per accident for bodily injury liability; and $100,000 per accident for property damage liability.
Position Requirements:
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This on-site role may require lifting up to 50lbs, and typically is located at a desk, with occasional walking, standing, or sitting/stopping.
This role will require maintaining a budget and purchasing supplies for the department and will have access to sensitive data.
This role may operate a company vehicle.
CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS, ETC.

Currently licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Licensed Bachelors Social Worker (LBSW) by the Alabama Board of Social Work Examiners.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
The work location for this role is onsite.
