The Social Media Strategist is responsible for both the strategic direction of the BOK Financial social media strategy and the tactical execution with the support of a social media manager. This role is fully responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies, governance, campaigns, and projects that align with, support, and enhance the business and operational goals of the company.

As a member of the Communications & Content Team in Corporate Marketing, you will interact with a variety of individuals responsible for marketing, communications, public relations, community relations, crisis communications, and content marketing. While this role is responsible for decisions regarding social media strategy for the company, you are also responsible for the execution of day-to-day post management, tracking, campaign development, periodic coordination with advertising and PR agencies, social media governance and tool management.

How You\'ll Spend Your Time

  • You will develop and execute an ongoing broad corporate social media strategy that includes positioning and differentiating the company and its business lines in a positive and credible manner.
  • Manages strategy around paid social media efforts and ROI attribution from paid and organic exposure through all social channels. Campaigns span across multiple channels, including but not limited to Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.
  • You will work closely with Corporate Marketing, in-market community relations managers and advertising agencies to develop creative social media programs to support organic and paid campaigns.
  • You will partner with leaders and executives throughout the organization to optimize their social presence and provide best practices for employees\' profile.
  • You will have a unique opportunity to maintain corporate social media policy, manage ongoing implementation of guidelines for all audience and deliver periodic training on social media governance.
  • You will provide leadership, guidance and support while supervising the Social Media Manager who is responsible for day-to-day post management, channel monitoring and engagement.
  • You will stay up to date with industry knowledge and share the knowledge you gain.
  • You will establish regular reporting and dashboards with social media metrics and campaign analysis.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor\'s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field of study and 7-10 years of experience working in social media management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS:
  • Demonstrated ability to direct a large-scale, complex social media strategy including multiple brands, business lines, and verticals.
  • Experience leading projects and working in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong understanding of communications and public relations strategies (research, message development, results reporting, media relations, employee relations, sensitive issues management, special events, brand journalism, etc.).
  • Experience managing multiple brands on social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) and analyzing results from various platforms.
  • Strategic planning experience and ability to plan and execute social media campaigns as well as tactical experience managing social channels.
  • Experience managing paid social campaigns.
  • Strong ability to show the attributable ROI from social media efforts including paid media, directed traffic, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage changing requirements and short timelines, as well as multiple overlapping projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with outside vendors and agencies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills; ability to present complicated concepts and technical data in simple terms.
  • Experience managing people and coaching on social media strategy.
  • Experience with Hootsuite, Denim Social and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus, but not required.
