JOB TITLE: Social Media and Content Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Social Media and Content Manager will plan, implement, and monitor the company\'s social media strategy with the goal of increasing brand awareness and elevating the overall impact of our social media presence. A key responsibility will be creating and telling company stories across the globe on multiple social channels - and to multiple audiences.

The ideal candidate is an experienced and successful storyteller with the ability to interact with key internal stakeholders to gather relevant stories that demonstrate our company vision and mission to showcase on social media. We\'re also looking for someone who will not just plan social media strategy but has the hands-on technical expertise and ability to create content, especially through video, graphics and stills for all of our channels and manage posts. You will be up to date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Prepare the enterprise social media strategy (paid/organic), aligned with the company\'s communication goals and growth strategy.
  • Develop unique and creative content for our existing (and future) social media platforms, including patient stories.
  • Engage leaders and increase participation in thought leadership for LinkedIn.
  • Create and oversee editorial and content calendars for social media in alignment with the Communications team that includes, PR, Creative and Brand, Marketing, and MarCom teams across the globe as well as inputs from functional teams that drive industry thought leadership.
  • Ensure content accuracy and execution across relevant social platforms.
  • Serve as in-house social media content expert by continually sharing the latest trends with the PR, marketing, marcom, regional leaders, and executives to inform thought leadership content and strategies
  • Own Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies\' social media channels, including day-to-day operations, content development, and content scheduling/publishing and metrics.
  • Community and reputation management: Oversee community management and facilitate engagement across all channels that are appropriate, on-brand, and as timely as possible, and be the liaison for internal routing of questions/requests (Glassdoor, Indeed, Google Reviews, etc. in addition to our owned social media channels).
  • Monitor ratings and reviews, including setting up reporting for peers.
  • Manage replies online to customers, patients, community and associates while working with our internal teams to align messaging.
  • Curate content from customers, partners, NGOs etc., that aligns with our goals and builds community engagement.
  • Oversee social media channels for proper adherence to company policies, including content selection, approvals, community engagement, voice, tone, etc.
  • Determine and communicate project deliverables and timelines with appropriate team members and stakeholders, helping/consulting to guide projects through the creative process.
  • Uncover insights and develop actionable recommendations for how to optimize and move the brand forward on social media channels based on content performance.
  • Measure, track and analyze the performance of social channels, content and campaigns. Use this reporting to drive improved content, social media initiatives and decisions. Ensure insights and learnings lead to measurable actions.
  • Influence internal decision-makers and key stakeholders with recommendations through research, data and analytics, and best practices.
  • Stay up to date and share the latest trends and best practices in social media and measurement.
  • Oversee the company social media playbook - reviews/updates, hosting roadshows and education of our processes and approach with internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute an employee advocacy program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education
  • Bachelor\'s degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
  • Degree in Communications, Journalism, Digital Marketing or English is preferred.
Experience
  • 3-5 years of social media marketing and content development experience.
Skills
  • Proven social media work experience and expertise - content, channels, timing, platform optimization, analytics and performance, listening, and visual intelligence.
  • Hands-on experience in content management.
  • Knowledge of design and hands-on ability to create visually appealing graphics/video content
  • Ability to successfully communicate with a broad spectrum of audiences, including associates, management, vendors, business partners, and community groups, to reinforce company values and goals and good working relationships.
  • Deep understanding of social trends and proven, excellent storytelling ability to help increase readership and engagement.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills - in particular for social media (headlines, captions, structured text for easy reading).
  • SEO copywriting knowledge.
  • Proven analytical experience, researching tools and trends.
  • Experience running social media organic campaigns in a regulated B2B environment (healthcare experience a plus).
  • Experience using social media management tools, reporting and creative tools (BuzzSumo, Hootsuite, Meltwater, Canva etc.).
  • Time management and multitasking skills to help effectively manage highly trafficked social media accounts.

Typical Office Environment requirements include reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasionally lifting up to twenty pounds.

Target Pay Range: $71,100.00 to $88,900.00 - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base: 7.0%
