Job Description

Arctic Valley Ski Area is hiring a snow tubing supervisor to work Thursday-Sunday through early April at Arctic Valley Ski Area. This positions works 8 hour days Thu/Fri, and 10 hour days Sat/Sun and on all school holidays.

Some supervisory, leadership, or related outdoor industry experience is preferred. The supervisor is hands-on, and performs the same duties as staff, while also ensuring adherence to safety and behavioral rules, dealing with escalated guest situations, and communicating with the Mountain Manager. This is an outdoors position.

Position includes a daily kitchen credit for meals, free hot drinks, discounts on merchandise, ride breaks, and free season passes for your immediate family. Pay is $18/hour, plus $2 per hour paid as a bonus for completing the season.

Arctic Valley Ski Area is located in Chugach State Park, between Anchorage and Eagle River. We're a fun, family- and local-oriented non-profit ski area.

Working at Arctic Valley requires commuting up a mountain road in winter conditions. To travel safely up the road, 4WD/AWD is typically required. Are you able to reliably commute to work at Arctic Valley on a daily basis? This is an outdoor position, with short breaks available in the lift shack, and meal breaks in the lodge. Are you willing and able to work an outdoor position all winter?
