Job Summary


We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sitework Estimator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs related to site development projects, including grading, excavation, paving, drainage, and utilities. Your expertise will help ensure project bids are competitive yet profitable, setting the foundation for successful project execution. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions efficiently and effectively.

Duties



Prepare complete and accurate sitework estimates from start to finish. Estimate projects involving earthwork, grading, erosion control, stormwater management, and underground utilities. Support contract review, change order pricing, and job cost tracking. Develop accurate and well organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner. Communicate project bid requirements to material suppliers and subcontractors for quotation. Compile and evaluate all materials and subcontractor quotations. Assist project managers and superintendents in construction planning, quality control, design interpretation, constructability issues and resolution of design conflicts. Develop complete bid estimate packages and ensure all estimates are job specific. Formulate cost break down from estimates and for project progress. Research and evaluate suppliers to ensure availability of materials and confirm materials meet the organization's standards of price and quality. Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labor costing. Oversee all phases of construction projects, including planning, estimation, scheduling, and execution. Conduct site visits as needed to evaluate project progress and requirements.

Qualifications



BA/BS degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field preferred. Experience in heavy civil sitework preferred. Minimum of 5 years' project management experience preferred. Proficiency in Cost Management, Budgeting, and Construction estimating. Strong skills in Project Estimation, analysis, and forecasting. Solid knowledge of construction industry standards, codes, and best practices. Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. PE or PMP preferred Strong understanding of contractual terms and conditions. OSHA 30 required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawings. Strong knowledge and experience with construction accounting/estimating software. Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles. Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs. High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions. Thorough knowledge of construction technology, equipment, methods, negotiations, engineering, cost controls, schedules and safety required. Competent use of Microsoft Office suite applications, construction accounting software and heavy civil project management software. Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid or comparable preferred. Ability to interpret facts and provide explanations verbally and in writing - investigating skills needed. Strong analytical knowledge to resolve issues and interprets or summarizes information. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to make decisions on safe/unsafe working conditions and within company guidelines and standards.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
