General Description

The Site Quality Control Assistant position is responsible for assisting the project Quality Control Manager in the implementation of the Contractor Quality Control program on the project site.

Bristol General Contractors, LLC performs heavy and civil construction services, new construction projects, renovation, rehabilitation and repairs, and site improvements. Provides design build and bid build construction services for federal, state, and commercial clients throughout the United States. Also, Bristol General Contractors, LLC Community Relations division develops public information and safety outreach tools, and provides community relations, risk communication and safety outreach support for environmental remediation at Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS), as well as active military projects. Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Government Systems (RMS &/or eCMS), contribute towards the composition and completion of Division 01 \xe2\x80\x93 general requirement pre-con submittals (Pre-Construction).
  • Assist with all aspects of submittal processes including procurement from subcontractors, verification of compliance with RFP and contract documents and timely processing to client.
  • Participate in and assist with the documentation and recording of Preparatory phase, Initial phase, and follow-up phases of the three phases control for each definable feature of work.
  • Compilation, preparation, and completion of daily contractor\xe2\x80\x99s verification statements (daily reports).
  • Monthly Invoicing and Schedule Update Coordination (Construction).
  • Participate in and assist with the required completion inspections including punchout inspections, pre-final inspections, and final acceptance inspections.
  • Assist with the completion and submittal of all contract close-out requirements as contract timelines dictate including O&M Manuals, Owner Training, etc. (Closeout).
  • Possess an aptitude for construction knowledge.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to learn.
  • Skilled in communication, both written and oral enabling efficient exchange of information with co-workers and subcontractors.
  • Skilled in basic comprehension of drawings, specifications and technical bulletins coupled with the ability to accurately interpret contract documents.
  • Skilled in organization including the ability to effectively prioritize assigned tasks.
  • Motivated to complete assignments in the absence of supervision.
  • Strong computer skills, requires use of Government QC software and online database systems (RMS and/or eCMS.
Measures of Performance:
  • Timely completion of assigned workload / deliverables (40%).
  • Ability to act in absence of instruction and knowing when to seek instruction before acting (20%).
  • Production of quality work (20%).
  • Initiative, work ethic, organizational skills (20%).
Required Qualification:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering, Architecture or Construction Management is preferred.
  • Documented field and office experience in a construction environment is preferred.
  • International Code Council (ICC) Inspector Certification is preferred.
  • Prior experience with USACE and/or NAVFAC construction projects in role as primary or alternate QCM, SSHO, and/or Site Superintendent is preferred.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe product is preferred.

  • Mobility: Must be able to stoop, kneel, reach, walk, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Hearing: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
  • Visual Acuity: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.
  • Lifting: Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
