Job Summary
The Simulation Ops Specialist I supports the development, technical preparation and execution of Simulation activities delivered in Immersive Design Systems facilities, at the point of care throughout Boston Children\xe2\x80\x99s Hospital, and off site at network and partner sites.
The Simulation Ops Specialist I will be responsible for:
- Support, set-up and operate various simulator technologies including: anatomic models and task trainers, full-body patient simulators, and screen-based and virtual reality simulations.
- Serve as a simulator operator by running scenarios with faculty instructors and/or content experts, assuring that the facility and equipment are set up for simulation sessions.
- Conduct routine equipment and inventory maintenance.
- Assists with maintenance of simulators, computer and a/v systems. Participate in technical training as necessary; attend conferences to stay current with simulation technology.
- An Associates or Bachelors degree in Engineering, Technology, Science, or related field.
- Expertise in mechanical, computer and AV technology concepts.
- Ability to effectively work in a team, and to think critically, analyze options and to create great solutions to problems not previously encountered.
- Ability to approach role with curiosity and persistent desire for continuous learning to maintain technical competence.
