Financial Aid and Scholarships Division of Enrollment Management University of Tennessee, Knoxville The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, (UTK) invites applications and nominations for our Student Services Specialist I position. We are seeking candidates who can contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the University. The Position: This is an on-campus position with some hybrid/remote work schedule flexibility. Assist Federal Work Study (FWS) students in completing the hiring process with Human Resources and Payroll. Assist FWS supervisors with posting available positions into the JobX system, and ensure bi-weekly payroll is completed for all FWS students. Assist the FWS Coordinator in monitoring the awarding and spending of the University\'s FWS allocation, including community service spending. Complete contracts for off-campus community service work sites. Counsel students on the availability and feasibility of work and financial aid.

Required Education and Experience: Associate degree Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree and financial aid or student employment experience preferred.

• Experience with JobX/TimesheetX, Ellucian Banner, and/or TeamDynamix preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to communicate with people of diverse backgrounds.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sensitivity to accuracy and confidentiality of information, and ability to adhere to strict deadlines.

• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, and to make and be responsible for independent decisions.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of work study, financial aid, and/or student employment preferred.
