Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and growth-minded team member to join our sign shop. This role is ideal for someone who has some graphic design experience, excellent customer service skills, strong computer abilities, and a desire to learn and grow with us.

This position will primarily focus on creating and producing MUTCD traffic signs and other custom design jobs while also building strong relationships with our customers. You will assist in receptionist duties, answering phones, greeting and assisting customers, preparing proofs, setting up meetings, creating estimateinvoices and entering data into our system. There will be sales calls required to contact past or potential customers. You'll also work closely with our production team to ensure accurate, high-quality sign manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design & MUTCD Sign Production

Create MUTCD-compliant traffic signs and layouts. Produce designs for customer projects such as banners, decals, and custom signage. Provide design revisions and proofs to customers. Enter all quotes and estimates into our project management system (Monday.com). Ensure all artwork meets required specifications before production.
After client approval, prepare and submit finalized designs into the production workflow.

Customer Service & Front Office Support

Build and maintain strong customer relationships through friendly, professional service. Answer phones, emails, and assist walk-in customers. Assist customers picking up orders and provide updates on project status. Type estimates, process payments, and assist with invoicing (QuickBooks experience a plus). Help schedule installations and coordinate with the production team.

Production & Shop Support

Assist with loading signs into customer vehicles. Organize and prepare materials for pickup, delivery, or installation. Provide support on the production floor when needed (vinyl application, laser machine etc.)

Organization & Collaboration

Work closely with coworkers & management; follow direction well and demonstrate an eagerness to learn. Monitor certain stock levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Participate in weekly team meetings focusing on workflow, deadlines, and product knowledge.

Requirements & Skills

High School Diploma or equivalent. Some experience with graphic design software (Adobe Illustrator preferred; Flexi or Corel a plus). Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong computer skills and comfort learning new programs. Detail-oriented with solid time management. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and assist with production tasks as needed. Familiarity with MUTCD standards and commercial construction is a plus but not required -- we are willing to train the right candidate. Positive attitude, dependability, and a willingness to grow with our team.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
