What You Will Do:

  • Manage and grow market share of existing accounts
  • Develop a target account list
  • Develop new accounts
  • Cold call potential new customers - leads can be provided by Construction News Monitor
  • Develop a plan of action for each target account
  • Submit call reports to manager on a weekly basis
  • Create and implement North Coast specific business plan with key vendors/customers to include goal setting and account-specific strategies such as sales, growth, and market share to be recorded in CRM
  • Communicate, mentor, and work closely with the inside support staff to optimize customer service and maximize account penetration and sales.
  • Support Showroom schedule as per the Regional Showroom Manager\'s direction.
Performance Standards:
  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly activities including:
  • Bids/Submittals
  • Ship Schedules
  • Vendor contact
  • Daily Customer Contact
  • Must Maintain Attendance Policies
  • Performance Reporting with weekly call log
  • Work with Sales Manager to discuss bids & job opportunities.
  • Maintain writing sales orders as necessary.
  • Established goals and objectives.
  • Attend weekly Teams 1-on-1 meetings:
  • Group Performance
  • Strategies - GM% growth - GM $ growth
What You Will Bring:
  • Competent working knowledge of lighting/electrical products
  • Comfortable making cold-calls
  • Strong computer and organizational planning skills, able to meet customer needs and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, outgoing, positive attitude, good communicator, and team player.
  • Willing to travel and work the necessary hours.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Frequent computer and telephone use.
  • Driving to customer offices, jobsites, vendors, North Coast Lighting functions/meetings/events
  • Occasional heavy lifting - up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional out-of-town travel.
  • Office and job site environment.
Salary & Compensation:
  • This position is an exempt position and not subject to overtime.
  • Pay is $36,000 annual base salary plus commission. The estimated total compensation range is $36,000 - 100,000 annually.
