Job Description

The Shop Service Technician will test, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate hydraulic, pneumatic, and battery-operated tools.

Duties and Responsibilities

Diagnose the tool by performing a complete function test Perform all the necessary repairs Read and comprehend repair order information and parts schematics Keep records of parts used and provide data for billing and/or warranty information Recognize and report operational irregularities and defective materials Work from parts sheets, schematics, and product manuals Tool Calibration General housekeeping/janitorial responsibilities Grounds keeping Perform miscellaneous tasks as directed

Physical Demands

Standing for long periods of time Repetitive motion Frequent bending, stooping, pushing and pulling tools and parts Able to work in workshop environment Lifting objects up to 85 pounds, on occasion

Education And Experience Requirements

To perform the job successfully, an individual must have the following:

Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older

Requires an education equivalent to high school diploma or GED

Enrolled in an Industrial Systems Technology or Maintenance related field and/or 1 year of related work experience

A basic mechanical aptitude High attention to detail

Preferred Experience and Qualification

Enrolled in an Industrial Systems Technology or Maintenance related field and/or 2 years of related work experience

Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Preference for candidates with an extroverted disposition and strong interest in sales

Basic computer-Word/Excel/email and writing skills

Job location-

Guntersville, AL

Flexible part time schedule between the hours of 8-4/M-F

Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
