The Boone, Iowa branch is a key distribution center and final assembly point for grain augers, conveyors, grain vacs, post pounders, and other related products and service parts.

The Opportunity

This role will report to the Branch Manager and support the Inventory Support Associate, and Shipping team on multiple levels, and will often be the final contact a customer will have. The Shipping Lead will view/print inbound orders from the Customer Service team and will then be responsible for order workflow until the order is sent to accounting to be invoiced.

Responsibilities

• Manage an Outlook account for a high-volume shipping department (up to 200 emails per day)
• Analyze and respond to requests from both internal and external customers
• Print sales orders
• Review orders for potential errors
• Proactively provide freight quotes based on product mix
• Determine appropriate course of action for an order based on its content and product mix
• Categorize each email based on course of action taken
• Prepare and document daily paperwork
• Review completed sales orders and submit to accounting department
• File completed sales orders/paperwork
• Audit unshipped orders and determine appropriate action based on the results
• Communicate with customers through email and phone, and properly document the interaction in Salesforce
• Pick and pack orders
• Document the shipment process
• Assist in inventory counts
• Perform additional related duties as requested or required

What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows experience is required
• Salesforce or other CRM systems experience preferred
• Experience with an ERP such as M2M, Microsoft AX, or SAP is preferred
• High attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and problem solving is required
• Interpersonal skills including effective communication and comprehension both verbally and written
• Inventory management background highly desired
• Able to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Able to maintain an organized and safe workstation
• Analytical and problem-solving ability
• Able to multitask while maintaining high attention to detail
• Willingness to learn new tasks and skills
• Flexible team player with a willingness to achieve common goals
