Job Description

Objective/Accountability:




To provide quality customer service through scheduling of all MT flatbeds deliveries contracted flatbeds and small load deliveries. Coordinate with sales, production, terminals and customers to deliver materials in a timely manner. Providing quality service and operations and product to customers and to meet the company-wide sales goal at a profit in the wholesale yard office.

Functions/Corresponding Tasks:



General



Follow and support company policies and procedures Excellent listener, communicator and follow through Meet regularly with team for communication, coordination and team building Work well with all others Organize data and responsibilities to operate efficiently and effectively Report plans, activities, and performance to management in a timely manner Measure performance and take corrective actions as necessary

Shipping/Dispatch:



Schedule and dispatch MT deliveries, flatbeds and dump truck deliveries Back up Bulk Dispatcher in scheduling and dispatching all truck deliveries Assist in scheduling Regional chain Coordinate shipments with outside producers Prepare and maintain common carrier and Fed Ex paperwork and quote files

Co-packing:

Assist in scheduling deliveries of co pack products Assist drivers with paperwork for scheduled pick -ups or loading for delivery orders. Process and create co pack orders in Ross and other systems.

Sales yard office

Reach the companies' sales goals through excellent customer service. Key customer service areas include order processing activities, responding to customer inquiries, communicate product knowledge. Understand inventory system. Communicate inventory information to customers effectively. Understand, apply and effectively communicate company customer service policies. Coordinate with Inventory, shipping and accounting for the smooth flow of customer orders and accounts Solve customer problems Manage outdated orders, contact customer and maintain dated orders.

Office Functions



Call all customers with delivery information and get instructions/directions as needed Coordinate with mix plant regarding trucks coming back for their loads Create maps as needed for truck drivers Process paperwork for delivered orders Assist inbound drivers with directions and paperwork

Education:



High School diploma

Experience/Prerequisites:



Previous experience in a shipping/dispatch required up to 1 year. Strong computer knowledge/skills a must including but not limited to Microsoft office Ability to quickly learn new software programs. Previous customer service experience.
