Job Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Coordinator to oversee daily operations within our busy food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food preparation, and excellent customer service abilities. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient workflow during assigned shifts. The Shift Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences while upholding company policies and operational procedures.

Duties



Supervise and coordinate shift activities to ensure smooth restaurant operations Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards Manage POS systems such as UNION POS for order processing and cash handling Monitor inventory levels, control stock, and assist with ordering supplies as needed Train and develop staff on food safety, customer service, and operational procedures Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels Assist in managing kitchen operations, including food production, catering, and banquet services Support management in budgeting, staffing schedules, and performance evaluations Lead by example in maintaining a positive work environment and fostering teamwork

Experience



Proven experience in food service management or restaurant supervision, preferably in quick service or fine dining environments Strong background in food preparation, culinary techniques, and kitchen management Experience with POS systems such as Union POS is highly desirable Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training, team management, and supervising teams during shifts Knowledge of food safety standards, inventory control, and hospitality management practices Prior experience in managing restaurant operations including budgeting, customer service excellence, and staff interviewing or hiring processes Background working within casual dining, catering, hotel restaurants, or bar environments is advantageous Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and handle customer interactions professionally

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
