Requisition Number: 92685 As a Desktop Support Technician, you will work in a dynamic environment supporting a large client in Iowa. Leveraging your strong technical skills, you\xe2\x80\x99ll apply your abilities and provide excellent customer service while being surrounded by a fantastic end-user support team. Hours: Mon \xe2\x80\x93 Fri \xe2\x80\x93 7:30AM \xe2\x80\x93 4PM Salary: $25/hr. Location: Primary office location at 1305 East Walnut Street in downtown Des Moines. Hybrid work schedule - Some work-from-home days are allowed.
What you will do as a Desktop Support Technician:

  • Assist end user support team with imaging machines as part of a consolidation effort. This process will include following security and device naming procedures as well as application installation and coordination of device deployment logistics to include device transport.
  • Provide onsite break/fix and IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) support to the customer\xe2\x80\x99s Endpoint Devices. Endpoint devices include Windows desktops, laptops, monitors, peripherals, printers and standard software.
  • This resource may be dispatched to the end user\xe2\x80\x99s location for device deployment. Applicants must be able to provide their own transportation to service accounts throughout the state of Iowa. Distances would be within the State of Iowa, and minimal overnight or late-night travel anticipated.
  • Support end-users in person and over the phone providing excellent customer service
  • Educate and set up new users, including imaging, new hardware, and software
  • You will be provided with all the equipment, computer and supplies to be successful in your role.
  • The office hours are 7:30 AM - 4 PM Monday through Friday with the primary office location at 1305 East Walnut Street in downtown Des Moines.
  • The dress requirement is business casual.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years\' Desktop Support experience
  • Bachelor\'s Degree or CompTIA PC Hardware Technician Certification preferred
  • Experience in LANs, WANs, Personal Computers, messaging and server software applications
  • Experience in large enterprise organizations
  • Excellent customer service focus

Background Screening:
  • The State of Iowa Requires a comprehensive background screening to include a State, Federal and FBI background check. All the necessary paperwork must be completed and approved by the Client prior to starting the position.
