POSITION SUMMARY Performs repairs on Medium and Heavy duty trucks of any make or model. Has a general knowledge of mechanical systems; can perform Preventive Maintenance and other general repairs with little to no supervision. Follows an assigned training path as set by the supervisor, completes self-training associated with this training path at a rate that is outlined within the training path. Strives to do the work assigned right the first time while completing tasks in a timely manner. Works harmoniously with management, coworkers, and customers to ensure that the customer receives a best-in-class repair experience. In all actions works to assist all positions within the dealership and department to sell hours. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES \xe2\x80\xa2 Completes training as assigned \xe2\x80\xa2 Performs at an 80% efficiency on a 3-month average in all work types as outlined by the technician qualification matrix \xe2\x80\xa2 Completes Preventive Maintenance, systems inspections, and basic chassis repairs with little to no supervision \xe2\x80\xa2 Certified to complete DOT inspections \xe2\x80\xa2 Certified as a Heavy-Duty Brake technician \xe2\x80\xa2 Can perform general repairs on fundamental truck mechanical systems with some supervision. \xe2\x80\xa2 Communicates with co-workers, management, and customers in a professional and positive manner. \xe2\x80\xa2 Presents one\xe2\x80\x99s self with a professional appearance, supports safe working habits, and complies with all company policies. \xe2\x80\xa2 Foster teamwork within the department and with all other departments. \xe2\x80\xa2 Other duties as assigned by supervisor SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES / ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE \xe2\x80\xa2 High school diploma or general education degree (GED); \xe2\x80\xa2 Two-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. REQUIRED SKILLS \xe2\x80\xa2 Effective written communication skills that allow for every opportunity to sell hours. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and flow-charts used to diagnose truck systems. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Position requires extended periods of standing, walking, stooping and lifting.
