Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Review and upload engine logbook information into Engineering Report Maintenance.
  • Generate Rolls Royce workscopes for approval and maintain workscope revisions with required approval.
  • Create a narrative summary of engine maintenance accomplished and generate engine condition reports.
  • Verify reports (engine part records, service bulletin records, technical variance records, workscope records, etc.) are correct and error free.
  • Help train detail inspectors to avoid errors in engine shop visit and detail inspection records.
  • Provide technical support to customers; produces reports relating to product serviceability, repair summaries, warranty and failure analysis or product configuration.
  • Provide technical support during the implementation of new processes; specifies tools and test equipment required; assists in training on the overhaul and test methods.
  • Support both company and client\'s business goals and expectation while representing themselves both positively and professionally.
  • Provide experienced technical expertise to resolve daily production issues.
  • Interact with customers, vendors, etc. to resolve and troubleshoot issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation (Temporary Overhaul Data Revisions, Technical Data Sheets, Technical Variances, etc.).
  • Generate and maintain Tool Approvals, Calibration Dispositions, etc.
  • Communicate with customers, stakeholders, engineering team members, etc. to determine what tasks need to be accomplished.
  • Develop positive working relationships with internal and external customers to effectively coordinate work activities.
  • Act as the technical lead on projects with the team, designing and engineering modifications and providing status reports to stakeholders.
  • Learn, practice, and promote product safety and environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures 100% of the time.
  • Develop and demonstrate ability to use the various software and work management tools utilized by the company and client(s).Required skills and qualifications
  • Aviation maintenance or comparable technical experience.
  • A desire to produce technical reports, troubleshoot problems, and resolve issues through root cause analysis to improve processes and prevent future errors.
  • A desire to provide technical support to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of gas turbine engines.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing methods, shop equipment and machining processes.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret drawings and schematics.
  • Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
  • Working knowledge of production management computer systems.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of original equipment manufacturing manuals.
  • Experience in project management preferred.
  • Experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment preferred.
