Job Summary: The Service Dispatcher is responsible to ensure work is done in a timely manner and that work is assigned to the proper technicians. Must be organized and a clear communicator. This person will manage the shop flow with the goal of increasing production hours and shop efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dispatch work to service technicians in a way that optimizes productivity of the service department;
• Monitors for productivity issues throughout the day/week and adjusts assignments as necessary;
• Communicates job status with the Advisors, Shop Foreman and Service Manager;
• Monitors status of part arrivals, orders, and back orders;
• Monitors appointment schedule in reference to work flow of shop;
• Performs other related duties consistent with the role and function of the specification as assigned. This does not preclude management from assigning additional, though unrelated, duties.

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Excellent time management skills;
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail;
• Experience in Automotive Service a plus.
