We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role involves delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, timely food delivery, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to food safety and guest satisfaction. Prior restaurant experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals eager to grow within the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and provide attentive guest services to enhance their dining experience
Take and process orders accurately using Clover Pos system
Serve food and beverages to guests promptly and accurately, ensuring presentation standards are met
Assist in food running duties by delivering orders from the kitchen to tables efficiently
Provide attentive guest service, addressing needs and inquiries professionally
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards at all times
Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas
Support with bussing tables, resetting tables, and ensuring a smooth flow of service during busy hours
Handle food preparation tasks as needed, following proper food safety protocols
Operate POS systems such as Clover POS for order processing and payments
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and high-quality service
Uphold food handling standards and safety regulations at all times
Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively with colleagues and management
Customer service skills. Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills
Must be able to speak English; supplemental languages a plus.
Ability to lift 20-35lbs. as needed. (eg carrying boxes and changing beer kegs)
Ability to work effectively with a team
Experience
Any experience in restaurant industry is also a plus but not required.
Familiarity with serving, food handling, and POS systems such as Clover POS is preferred
Experience with banquet service, catering, or hotel guest services is a plus
Knowledge of food safety standards and culinary practices is advantageous
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential for success in this role
Experience with food preparation, bussing, cooking, or kitchen operations will be considered an asset
